Book an Guilin Travel Consultation

Guilin can be a surprisingly tricky destination to plan.

There’s so much beauty packed into one region — from the Li River to the Longji Rice Terraces, from ancient towns to hidden karst peaks. I completely understand how overwhelming it can feel to organize it all.

So, Let Me Help

After years of exploring every corner of Guilin and its surroundings, I’ve come to know this area deeply — not just the famous landmarks, but the quiet backstreets, local eateries, and scenic routes most travelers miss.

Whether you’re wondering how to piece together your itinerary, what to pack for the season, how to travel between villages, or where to find the most authentic local food — I’m here to guide you through it.

A Local Perspective You Can Trust

My goal is to help you experience Guilin beyond the postcards.
Together, we can shape a trip that fits your pace, your interests, and the way you truly like to travel — whether that’s slow mornings by the river or hiking through terraced fields.

A Local Perspective You Can Trust

Once you reserve, you’ll receive a link to join our private Google Meet call.

This session is entirely for you or your travel companions — uninterrupted time to discuss your trip with me, someone who has explored Guilin and its surroundings for years.

A Personalized Experience

Each consultation is set for about 50 minutes. That’s usually the natural point when our conversation wraps up, but if we happen to go a little over — up to an hour — I’ll never rush you.

During the call, I’ll take notes so you can focus on the discussion. Afterward, I’ll send you a follow-up email with a detailed summary, including personalized recommendations, useful links, and any relevant travel resources.

Making the Most of Your Time

You’re welcome to use this time in whatever way helps you most. I’ve found that those who come prepared get the most out of their consultation — whether that means bringing a list of questions, hotel or route options you’d like feedback on, or a draft itinerary we can refine together.

What Do I Need to Do to Prepare?

When reserving your consultation, you’ll find a space to share a bit about your trip — where you’d like to go, how long you’ll stay, and what kind of experiences you’re hoping for. I’ll review this before our call to get a general idea, though my time is limited, so I can’t promise detailed research in advance.

That said, if any questions come up during our conversation that I don’t have an immediate answer to, I’ll always look into them afterward and follow up to make sure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date information.

How Many Calls Are Needed

For most itineraries, one consultation is usually enough. Travelers who plan to stay longer — perhaps exploring the region in depth or spending a month or more in Guangxi — sometimes return for a second call to fine-tune their plans after trying out the first round of recommendations.

How Many Calls Are Needed

Private consultations are offered at a rate of $115.

This includes:

  • A 50-minute one-on-one online consultation with me, focused on meeting your travel needs.

  • A detailed follow-up email after our call, including notes, recommendations, and relevant local links.

Payment is made in advance via credit card or PayPal.

Many travelers have found that this time helps them make more confident decisions — saving both time and unnecessary costs later — while gaining insights on how to travel smarter around Guilin and the surrounding countryside.
